Rose Point Radar
I'm writing to let you know that this last weekend I completed the installation of my Coastal Explorer Radar - and I couldn't be happier!!! The radar and Coastal Explorer are both working great and well meet and even exceed my expectations. Plus the final set-up is more than I had anticipated with the display on two monitors at my helm. On the larger higher resolution display easily visible to both helmsman and crew is the Coastal Explorer chart shown with the radar overlay displayed plus a split screen view of the radar image alone. On the second monitor above the helm and close enough to the helmsman for detailed inspection is the full screen display of the radar image alone. The entire display set taken as a whole is, in my opinion, synergistic. The radar is exceptionally sensitive yet very clear. Operating it on a hot summer day in a crowded marina, I was able to easily identify many individual kayaks and paddle boards mixed in with lots of small and large boats all moving in the channels. We routinely travel 2000 miles down the Mexican Coastline which involves many overnight passages. I'm sure the excellent display will be invaluable in safely navigating under conditions of limited visibility and on those night passages. My compliments for an excellent product delivered at a price that represents an exceptional value. I highly recommend the Coastal Explorer package with the Radar option. Regards, -- T. Collins
